This Ordinance authorizes the payment to Dell Marketing LP (“Dell”) to purchase Microsoft software assurance maintenance for Microsoft Windows Server, Database, Client access licenses, and Visual Studio Software access licenses in an amount not to exceed $71,429.92. Software Assurance is a comprehensive volume-licensing program that includes a unique set of technologies, services, and rights to help deploy, manage, and use your Microsoft products more efficiently. Using Software Assurance benefits can help the City take full advantage of its investments in IT. This renewal is for a one-year term. The State of Illinois solicited bids and allows municipalities to share in the bulk cost savings by ordering off such contracts. This purchase is from CMS joint purchasing contract 19-448DOIT-INFOT-P-17680. Dell is not a local vendor.

This ordinance is to execute a professional services agreement for the rehabilitation of sewers for the Office of Public Works. The areas for rehabilitation are included on Exhibit A. This work includes plan and specification preparation, and providing bidding and construction related services. It is anticipated that the rehabilitation method will be cured in place pipe. It is expected, though not guaranteed, that these expenses will be covered by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ("SLFRF") Program eligible costs under revenue replacement.

The City of Springfield is seeking to declare former Fire Station #6 at 2156 South 9th Street and former Fire Station #8 at 2051 West Monroe Street as surplus property, directing the sale of said real property and authorizing publication of a notice of sale and request for proposals. With the opening of new Fire Stations these buildings will be vacant and the City believes there is value in declaring them surplus and attempting to sell the property and structures. Legal Descriptions for both locations are included. The City intends to issue RFPs for the sale of each property following the passage of this Ordinance.
