The City Clerk's Office issues a number of Licenses for the City of Springfield. Below is a list of the Licenses that our offices issues. The approving authority is the Mayor, unless otherwise stated.
Background Form – Fee $70

Please note: the City Clerk's office pro-rates licenses 6 months into the license year - July 1st or December 31st depending on when the license expires. Replacement decals can be purchased for $5. The old decal must accompany the application for a replacement.
Fee: $100 annually
License expires on December 31
Fee: $25 per alley annually
Limited operator (2 or fewer devices): $100 annually
Operators with 3 or more devices: $250 annually
Per-device registration fee: $50 per machine annually
Device decals are issued. Replacement decals cost $5.

Decals are issued for permitted vehicles. Replacement decals cost $5.

Operator fee: $75 annually
Per table fee: $10 annually

Fee - $50 Annually plus $5,000 insurance bond on file
Approval must be granted by the Office of Public Works
Fee - $50 must accompany the filing of this application
Annual License Fee - $25

Application is available in our office and must be completed by the event coordinator – we do request that all information be turned in at least one week prior to the event
Fee - 1 day - $10.00, 1 month - $25.00, 2 months - $40.00, 1 year - $80.00
After July 1, applicant can get a 1 year for only $40.00
Fee - $250.00
This permit MUST be applied for 15 days before the event
Class A Sign Permit Fee - $150
Class B Sign Permit Fee - $125
Class C Sign Permit Fee - $100
Proof of Insurance or Bond must be included with the application
Subject to the approval of the Office of Public Works
Fee - $55
Fee - $50 annually

Photocopy of social security card is required at time of making application
Photocopy of valid license is required at time of making application.
Fee - $200 for the first theater and $100 for each additional
Approval must be granted by the Springfield Fire Department
Operator License - $25 annually
Per device (if needed) - $25 annually
Video Terminal Operator Fee - $500
Video Terminal Device Fee - $250/per device
Video Terminal Supplier Fee - $500
License expires January 31st of the following calendar year
Annual License Fee: $100.00
Application must be completed in full and notarized before it will be accepted. All fees must be paid at the time the application is submitted
Fee: $1500
PLEASE NOTE: This permit must be applied for by December 15th the year prior.
